CHILDREN SEE DUAL SHOOTING Father Shoots Wife,-Then Commits Suicide. Bv United Prtu* FT. WAYNE, Ind., June 15. Children of John Winiekl, 47. were unable today to give a motive for the act of their father, who shot his wife and then committed suicide. Without warning. Winicki drew a revolver at their home and shot his wife through the head. She is not expected to recover. A. moment later he turned the gun on himself, dying instantly. The two children .said their parents had not quarreled. Watch Baby’s Milk , Warns Dr. Morgan Warning to Indianapolis mothers to ward' against summer complaint among babies was issued by Dr. Herman G. Morgan, city health ofAcer, today. Failure of mothers to place milk in refrigerators promptly .and to sterilize carefully nursing bottles and other -paraphernalia was named as a cause by Dr. Morgan. In cases of illness Dr. Morgan urged prompt investigation by the family physician or, in povertystricken homes, a call upon one of the infant welfare and child hygiene clinics. Hot weather or changeable temperature is especially conducive to spread of summer complaint, Morgan said.

When Do Stones Look Like Stone? The county commissioners do not want the exterior brick walls of the courthouse resurfaced, though they don't have to pay for it, if the work is not to their liking. Such was the declaration mailed to Hamlin L. Shute, 6024 State Life Bldg., agent for Imitation stone, by Cassius L. Hogle, commissioner. Shute offered to cover the exterior brick walls of the courthouse with imitation of stone so that “you can scarcely tell It from real stone. You pay no mq-ney until the job is completed,” said Shute, The exterior courthouse walls are stone. Hogle sent the following reply: "If you can make the Marion County courthouse look! any more like stone than it now looks to us. we would like you to consult with us about painting the lilies in the fountain as soorf as they are In bloom."
