CHIGAGOGRAINS SHARPLY LOWER Sentiment for Drop Influenced by Wheat. Bu United Press CHICAGO, May 29.—Grains closed lower on the Chicago Board of Trade today, being influenced by the dip in wheat. New May wheat closed sharply lower, after a comparatively steady day. The old style and the deferred deliveries were also sharply lower. There was little activity in these as the tendency of the "Traders was to wait until the May contracts had been closed out. Weather reports indicated that the entire northwest received ample recommendations and that the drouth there has been definitely ended. This news helped to depress the future positions. Corn closed fractionally lower on all positions due to heavy liquidation. May oats were unchanged, but the deferred deliveries were fractionally off due to the influence of the other pits. Provisions closed lower. Chicago Grain Table —May 29 WHEAT— Prev. Open. Hieh.
