PENNSYLVANIA ST. MERCHANTS WILL HAVE ‘UNVEILING’ Windows to 3e Uncurtained at 8 Tonight—Special Displays Planned. An ‘‘Unveiling of Windows” program for the "Fifth Avenue of Indianapolis," Pennsylvania St., from Washington to Ohio Sts., has been planned by the Pennsylvania Street Business Association for tonight. Promptly at 8 the window of the various firms of the association are to be Uncurtained, simultaneously and special displays of merchandise and living models will be shown. Mayor Duvall is expected to take part in the ceremonies. He has been asked to draw the curtain from the front window of the Walk-Over Shoe Store, 2S X. Penn. St., for F. C. Ghosts? Nope, Spirits Bu Time* Special ATLANTIC CITY, N. J.. May 24.—A “haunt r-d" house proved to be one of the largest liquor distilleries in New Jersey. For months residents of the Negro quarter thought an isolated dwelling was haunted. Police decided to investigate and uncovered the distillery. The operators of the establishment are now being sought.
FIRST FLOWER SHOW Bankers Trust Offers Awards for Exhibit Winners. The season's first flower show will |he Saturday in -the lobby of the Bankers Trust Bldg., under auspices of the Garden Flower Society of Indianapolis. Four floral events are planned for the season. A peony show Is scheduled for early In June. The Bankers Trust Company posted'', four prizes for the Saturday show. A cup was offered for the best exhibit of an amateur grower of more than twelve varieties; a silver medal and a bronze medal for the next best exhibits, competition not being limited to those growing more than twelve kinds, and u bronze medal to#the grower of the best garden flower entry.

ROBINSON SPEAKS AT OHIO NORTHERN Senator Receives Honorary Degree. Bu Timm Special 'ADA, Ohio. May 24. —Senator Robinson of Indiana received an honorary LB. D. degree from the Ohio Northern University today and made the annual address to the graduates. He leaves Ada tonight for Indianapolis, where he will be temporary chairman of the Republican State convention, ind will deliver the keynote address. Robinson is a graduate of the Ohio Northern and met Mrs. Robinson here. His address to the graduates was on "The Constitution." CHURCH HAS BIRTHDAY Emerson Avo. Baptists Observes Fifth Anniversay. Celebration of the growth of the Emerson Avenue Baptists Church. Emerson Ave. and E. GRADUATION WEDNESDAY Forty-three to Receive Diplomas at Indiana Central College. Graduation exercises will be held at 10:30 a. m Wednesday at Indiana Central College. University Heights. PLANE FALLS; ONE DIES Two Others Badly Injured in Crash Near .Hobart, Ind. Mu United Press GARY, Ind.. May 24.—One man Is dead and two others are in a Gary hospital today following the crash of a commercial airplane near Hobart caused by- the snapping of a support on one of the wings. William Scherer, 22. a passenger, died from his injuries. Elmer Johnson, 36, the other passenger, and Hugh Gambell, pilot, were badly hurt. Scherer's parents saw the plane dive to earth, not knowing their son was a passenger.
