But this spring it was noticed that her old eaijin was tumbling down. The roof leaked badly; it was evident that the old building would collapse utterly before long. So the Rev. W. Glenn Smith, pastor of Caanan Methodist Church, got the names of the people who had been writing to her and sent them appeals for funds. Townspeople also contributed.
