The bandits worked forty minutes, escaping with $25,000 in gold leaf. No shots were tired. The voters will ballot at the November elections on modifying the Volstead act to permit the manufacture and sale of light wines and beer, as a result of Governor A1 Smith’s approval late yesterday of the Karle-Phelps referendum bill, which previously had passed the assembly and Senate.
