PRICES STABLE AT CITY PM Large Variety of Seasonable Fruits, Vegetables. Not many prices were changed at the city market today. Stands were Tiled with seasonable fruits and vegetables. Pineapples were cheaper at 25 to 50 cents each. Peas were 20 and 25 cents a pound. Strawberries were 20 cents a pint a,nd 35 tc 40 cents a quart. Other prices included: Butter, 63 < eots a pound: eggs, 30 to 35 cen\s a dozen; green beans, 15 cents a pound; wax "beans, 20 cents a pound; hothouse rhubarb, 20 cents a pound; outside rhubarb, 5 cents a bunch; rhubarb plants, 10 and 20 cents each; artichokes, 10 cents; outdoor cucumbers, 10 to 20 cents; head lettuce, JO to 20 cents; celery, 5 to 10 cents, and mushrooms, $1 pound. California cherries were cheaper at 60 cents a pound, although quality remained the same. Asparagus was 25 cents a bunch; red button radi; lies, 10 cents a bunch; grapefruit, H; cents; watercress, 10 cents; lemons, 20 to 60 cents a dozen; oranges. 15 to 60 cents a dozen; Winesap apples, 6 pounds for 25 cents; Grimes Golden apples, two pounds for 15 cents; cabbage, 5 to 10 cents u pound, and spinach, 15 to 20 cents n pound. Cloudy Weather in City Tends to Cause Increase in Rickets
Prolonged cloudy weather, plus smog and dust, have tended to increase rickets among Indianapolis children this past winter, Dr. Herman G. Morgan , city health officer, said today. SIX INJURED IN AUTO CRASHES Two Young Women Serious- • ly Hurt. Two young women were seriously injured, and two other young women and two young men slightly hurt in two auto accidents late Wednesday. None of the drivers were arrested. An auto driven by Earl S. McDonald. 37 of 1338 N. La Salle St., is said to have struck Hazel Rlngo, 15, of 627 E. St. Clair St. and Mary Gibbons, 15, of 650 E. TwentyFifth St. at Massachusetts Ave. and St. Clair St. Miss Ringo was taken home with internal injuries and an injured hip. Miss Gibbons was slightly hurt. Margaret Brady, 19. of 2416 Brook-
side Parkway, was seriously injured about the hip and left leg and Robert Schrieber, 2437 Coyner Ave., his brother, Herbert, and Miss Agnes Steenburger, 2529 Brookside Parkway, were slightly hurt when an auto in which they were riding, driven by Robert Schrieber, collided with a car driven by John Schuster, 3144 N.
