ADAMS RECALLS OLD DAYS WHEN WATSONLOBBIED Says Senator Black Listed Man Whose Farm Bill He Is Supporting Now. Bv Times Special CLINTON, Ind., April 29.—Details Os a blacklist of members of Congress to be defeated as designated by Senator James E. Watson during days as a lobbyist were related by Claris Adams, candidate for the Republican long-term senatorial nomination, in an address here Wednesday night. “The list, containing names of both representatives and Senators, was partially in the handwriting of Senator Watson.” Adams said. “Upon the list written down by him were the names of Representative Haugen, author of the farm relief bill now backed by a solid Indiana delegation, and Senator Lenroot.” Commenting upon Watson’s statement advocating the Haugen bill, Adams said: “After a long period of complete Inaction and eloquent silence during which time the agricultural situation, long since acute, has become critical, now on the eve of the approaching primary, Senator Watson indorsed the Haugen relief bill. “The principle of this bill I indorsed early in the camapign. I am glad Senator Watson has indorsed the measure and hope he will support it as zealously after the primary, as well as voting for it.” RYAN AT FT. WAYNE Calls on Voters to Smash D. C.
