MOTORISTS ED POLICE WARNING Number of Arrestes in Drive on Violators Cut. 'fhe police drive on traffic violators was slowed up Wednesday. Seven motorists, Including two alleged speeders, one alleged Intoxicated driver and four minor law violators were charged. Those charged with speeding: F. A. Brayton, 38, of 2125 Broadway, and Jacob S. Zeller, 42, of 528 Powell St. Zeller Is also charged with failure to stop at a boulevard. Walter Wiggins, 50, of 328 S. Hamilton Ave., Is held on charges of driving while intoxicated and reckless driving. Thomas Thompson, 43, of 1155 Fletcher Ave.; Frank Reimer, 23, of 114 Adelaide St., and C. 47, of 1010 Eugene St., are held on charges of disobeying a traffic signal. Filbert Hammett, 19, of 844 Ashland Ave., is held on charge of reckless driving. Traffic Inspector Lester Jones said arrests have been decreasing each day as motorists learned of the drive on overtime parkers and violators of traffic signals. Os the arrests Monday and Tuesday 138 paid tines, Jones said. U. S. AGENTS GET 3 STILLS IN RAID May Cost Floyd County Man His Property. Three 65-gallon stills, fifty-ilve gallons of moonshine whisky, fifty-one barrels of ground sugar mash', 800 pounds of ground grain and 500 pounds of sugar were seized by Federal prohibition agents in a raid on the farm of Otto Botts, Lafayette Township, Floyd County, near New Albany, Thursday, accordirfg to word received hero today. One man was arrested. Deputy Prohibition Administrator Ansel R. Harris said he would recoiVihiend forfeiture of Botts’ property, under, an 1875 statute, as a result of the raid. Because of the serious illness of a grandson, Botts will not be arrested until later. William Duffy, Louisville, Ky., was apprehended by the agents, Roy Negley, Harvey Ilhod and Charles Liebert, and was arraigned on liquor law violation charges.
MORRIS GEST IN MOVIES Will Produce One Picture a Year— Salary $350,000 a Year, Report. The theatrical producer, under contract with the United Artists’ Corporation, will produce one picture a year for six years.
