FACULTY OF DE PAUW WILL BACK BUNDY * Resolution of Confidence in Instructor to Be Presented Trustees. Bn Time s Koecial GREISNOASTLE, Ind., April 15. De Pauw University faculty members today planned to support Dr. Walter E. Bundy, Bible department head, in a statement to be presented to university trustees at the Juno meeting. Investigation of Dr. Bundy’s classroom methods and teachings was asked by the Northern Indiana Methodist Conference at Newcastle. It was charged the instructor taught unorthodox theories. To Draw Resolution Vice President Henry B. Longden, Dr. William M. Blanchard, faculty secretary, and Dr. William Warren Sweet, history professor, were named to draw a resolution expressing confidence in Bundy. The committee is expected to draft a resolution to be presented for faculty approval Tuesday. The resolution will express confidence in Bundy’s character and teaching ability, but will not deal with the conference charges, according to Dr. Sweet. Petition Circulated Pryor Pickering, a student of Bundy and from Spiceland, the instructor’s home town, has circulated a petition supporting the professor. This will be presented ministers who opposed Bundy. “As to Professor Bundy’s character and conduct it will stand the test any one wishes to give it,” said the petition.

Aw! He Wanted to Buy Flowers BU United Press CROWN POINT, Ind., April 15.—Apparently failing to comprehend the punishment that may lie in store for them, Mrs. Virginia Mullins and. Bill Donaldson, her star boarder and the man for whose love she plotted the murder of her husband, Joe Mullens, were held in the Lake County jail. They made the trip to the jail here from Gary in a carefree manner and jested with other occupants of the big motor coach in which the transfer was made. “I wish I could have gotten my money at the steel mills,” said Donaldson. “I’d have bought some flowers for Joe.”
