iADIO PROGRAM IS COMMENDED Entertainment Is Lauded in Messages. Judging by the hundreds of messages received after the Friday night radio program of The Times over \VFBM, Merchants Heat and Light Company, from the Severin, the general verdict seemed to be that never was there such a melodious program put on the air. The ensemble and quartet from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods with Miss Ruth Hutchins, pianist, and Miss Sylvia Tschudi, soprano, both of Indianapolis, gave the entire program. Seven harps were used by the artists from Saint Marys. Tom Beeeley of Chicago, representing Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, acted as guest am nouncer. Every winter huge flocks of swans, from all part of North America, will be found in the vicinity of Chesapeake Bay. Last December experts counted 4,708 swans ip five days. On the first and second days they counted 1,602; on the second and third days they counted 1844; on the third and fourth days they counted 1,822; on the fourth and fifth days they counted 2,021. How many swans were counted on each day? Last puzzle answer: Here is a copy of the winning answer. The word “writer” was changed to the word “butler.” In each word only one letter was changed. In every instance, the result was an English noun; “writer” is a “scribe”; “waiter” a “table attendant”; “baiter” a “tormentor”, “batter” a “cookery mixture”; “butter” the “fat from milk”; “butler” a “head man servant.” FOUR GIVEN LIBERTY Police Release Men Questioned in Shooting Case. Cuticura Healed. “ My face broke out with small pimples. Some of them soon disappeared, while others remained a long time and formed sore eruptions. The pimples itched and burned causing me to scratch, and the eruptions disfigured my face- I was bothered with them for about four years. “ I tried different remedies but they did not do much good. I read an advertisement for Cuticura Soap and Ointment and sent for a free sample. After using it I purchased more and in about a month and a half I was healed." (Signed) Mrs. Lulu M.
