INDIANA LEAGUE ENDS SESSION WITH RECEPTION Women Voters Elect Mrs. Frank Streightoff as President. The Indiana League of Women Voters passed resolutions this morning at the closing business session of the three-day convention at the Lincoln, urging re-enactment of the maternity and infant bill, peronal study of the four amendments to the State constitution to come ujr at the next election. Amendmens *re registration of voters through classification in the county; apportionment of Senators and Representatives; prohibiting increase in salary or length of tejpm of any one in office during the term of his office, and State income tax allowance. Other resolutions expressed appreciation of the work of the hostess league in Indianapolis, the hotel, the press, the executive secretary Miss Helen Rogers Hand, and the out-going president, Mrs. B. B. White of Terre Haute. Election Committee A committee on candidates’ records for reference at the election was appointed. Miss Alma Sickler is chairman, assisted by Miss Elizabeth Burford, Mrs. Major P. Dale, Mrs. W. O. Bates, Mrs. J. M. Cullum, Mrs. Le Roy Kahler, Mrs. W. [W. Wise and Mrs. E. L. Burnett. Mrs. Prank Streightoff of Indianapolis was elected president. Other officers: Mrs. Mary Gallahan Kolb, Peru, first vice president; Mrs. H. R. Miesener, Michigan City, second vice president; Mrs. J. E. Neff, South Bend, third vice president; Mrs. Ora Thompson Ross, Jtensslaer, treasurer, and Mrs. Paul J. Meifield, Frankfort, secretary. National Program Miss Florence Harrison, spoke on the national program of work and Mrs. A. C. Clauser reported on resolutions. The convention closed this afternoon with a reception for the new officers. The Indianapolis League of Women Voters, with Mrs. Edna M. Christian, president, was hostess. Miss Belle Sherwin, president of the National League, spoke Thursday evening at the banquet. “America is becoming a Democracy in name only,” said Miss Sherwin, “because of the small vote being cast. “It really will not be worth the
