YOUTHS APPLY FORC.M.T.C. £ocal Boys Will Attend Summer Camps. Marion Comity's first applicants for the 1926 Citizen's Military Training Camps consist largely of Indianapolis youths, according to an announcement from Fifth Corps headquarters at Ft. Hayes, Ohio. Training courses will be offered at Camp Knox, Ky„ Ft. Thomas, Ky„ and Ft. Benjamin Harrison. Each county this year is limited to a definite quota, Marion County being allotted 115. PROHIBITION IS GIVEN PRAISE Candidate Says Amendment Has Done Good. Despite all unfavorable criticism, the Eighteenth Amendment has done immeasurable good throughout the country, T. Ernest Maholm, candidate for Criminal Court judge, said at a meeftng of the Irvington Republican Club at the Masonic Temple Monday night. Improved methods of handling county finances have taught contractors they must give the public a dollar’s worth of work for every dollar j they receive, County Auditor Harry Dunn stated. Other speakers were Frank Po- i land, Claude Anderson and William C. Fitzgibbon, candidates for State s Representatives, and Harry D. Hat- j field, candidate for State Senator. MOTOR SALES INCREASE The demand for automobiles and busses in the southern States caused February production to exceed that of la§t year by 27 per cent. In Kentucky alone there are 3,876 miles of bus routes, much of these serving communities which had no rapid transport service before.
