MR._FIXIT Humane Society Seeks to Retain All Drinking Troughs, ,
I,et Mr. Ffadl present your case to city officials. He is The Times' .representative at the City Hall. Write him it The TimesAutomobiles bark their glistening ythlps against a public water trough in front of 805 Massachusetts Ave., a correspondent informed Mr. Fixit today. DEAR MR. FIXIT: I would like to know if there is any use in having the watering trough in front of this store w-hen it is always dry. It is a nuisance to the public. Motorists drive up, park their cars and run into it as it sticks out over the curb It has scratched lots of fenders. If it could be removed, it would be a help to all the automobile owners, as it isn’t very pleasant to scratch up anew car. J. C. DC MATO, 805 Massachusetts Ave. The Humane Society is waging a campaign to retain all drinking troughs so the horses may quench

STORAGE EGGS GAIN Seven Times as Many Stored in February, 1926, Against 1925. Bv NEA Service WASHINGTON, March 19.—More than seven times as many eggs were in cold storage in February as on the same month a year ago, said a reporc by the Department of Agriculture. The number was placed as 574,000 eases. their thirst in the boiling summer days. However, if the city fails to turn on the water because of lack of funds, as happened last . year, Mr. Fixit will investigate again for you. DEAR MR. FIXIT: Asa taxpayer I would like to get some cinders on English Ave. between the pavement at Dayton Ave. and 4700 on English Ave. The center is so had we cannot cross, and every car that tries gets stuck in the mud. F. H. SELZER, 506 Dayton Ave. The hoard of works plans to force the street car company to , repair paving between its tracks, but it cannot make the company lay new paving. Property owners must pay cost of that paving, since their original assessment did not include the paving between the tracks.
