REAL ESTATE VALUE GAINS EMPHASIZED Dayton (0.) Man Makes $4,200 Profit on Storeroom Owned a Month. Climbing values of Indianapolis radi estate were emphasized today Wien county records disclosed Edward G. Sourbier had to pay Harry B. Hartley of r>ayton. Ohio, a profit of $4,200 on a 20x40-foot storeroom at the northeast comer of Illinois and St. Clair Sts., which Hartley owned only a month. Hartley, it was reported, bought the place for SIB,OOO. Sourbier, twice treasuren of Marlon County and Public Savings ao*i Insurance Company president, paid him $22,200 for the property, records disclosed. The purchaser is considered one of the best judges of Illinois St. property values, being one of the largest individual holders. , The property is the former site of the Illingworth pharmacy, which has moved south across the street. Further confidence in the future of rndianapolis real estate was rejected in the sale by Fred H. Sillery, realtor, of a lot in Warfleigh addition to Wilbur T. Wright, a builder, who, it is said, plans to buy several more lots upon which to build homes. He paid S7OO for the lot. ■las .appointed a “spring opening" committee composed of L. H. MARCH KEEPS UP THE PACE Snowfall Due to Be Followed by Colder Weather. Lowest temperature tonight is expected to be about 20. Snowfall, which started about 3 a. m., totaled three-tenths of an inch at 7. The temperature of 30 at 7 was 4 degrees below normal. Meteorologist J. H. Armington. who has been unable to withstand the onslaught of tain, cold and snow handed out this month, was still at home with an atlrol< of the flu.

NEW LINK WITH MEXICO __ Postal Announces Closing of Cable Contract. Bu Times Special CHICAGO. March 12.—The Postal Telegraph Commercial Cable Company has juat closed a contract with the Mexican government which now enables the Postal Telegraph Company to render a telegraph and cable service into and out of Mexico, according to an announcement made today by Clarence H. Mackay, president. Mackay’s companies have been seeking to enter Mexico for some years, but were prevented from doing so by certain monopolistic agreements which existed. These however, have now been cancelled under the new plan, which i*. designed, to establish a more comprehensive telegraph and cable service between the United States and Mexico. DIES IN PRISON AS PROPHESIED Farmer Predicted He’d Never Return. Bu Untie A Press WABASH, Ind., March 12—A prophecy made by Dale Mart indale. f>7, a Wabash County farmer, when he was taken to the State Prison at Michigan City a year ago was fulfilled today. < Martlndale predicted he would never return from the prison, where he was sentenced to fourteen to twenty-one years for a criminal attack on Bessie Sampson, a young girl fiom the orphans’ home at Mexico, Ind., who was employed ns a domestic in the Martlndale home. He died in the prison yesterday, two days before completion of the first year of his sentence. Martindale’s wife, a helpless invalid, always refused to believe the charges against him and testified for her husband when she was wheeled into the,-courtroom in an invalid's chair. i
