TWO MECHANICS ARE OVERCOME Found Unconscious From Gas in Garage. Two men were overcome by carbon monoxide gas early today in a garage operated by Union Traction Company, at 1018 N. Meridian St. Henry Simon, 23, of 1218 N. Jefferson Ave., and Lowell Huff, 25, of Muncle, night mechanics, were found unconscious on the floor by William Haywood, Negro, of 1021 M N. Illinois St., day fireman. Haywood dragged them into the air and Simon soon revived. A city hospital doctor treated Huff. Simon said they finished their work and started a bus to keep warm. When they felt themselves getting sick they were unable to get out, Simon said.

Bit Vnited Press STEUBENVILLE, Ohio, March 4. —Authorities today were not convinced they had captured the murderer of Robert Herron, wealthy bachelor-farmer, and his sister, Nettie, and posses renewed their search in the surrounding hills. Two Negroes already are under arrest. The bodies of the Herrons were found on their farm near here yes terday. Herron's head had been split open with a mattock. Nettie Herron was hanging from a rope In the farm house dining room.

SERVANT KILLS SCHOOL HEAD American, Murdered at Beirut,' Syria. Bn VniteA Press BEIRUT, Syria, March 4.—Dr. Arthur Dray, principal of the dental school of the American University, was murdered today by his Armenian servant. Dr. Dray formerly lived In Philadelphia, Pa. The servant entered the doctor's quarters, cut his master's throat and Immediately sought President Dodge of the American College to confess his crime. For some time the Armenian has been in love with the office secretary and Dr. Dray allegedly interfered. Resentment is believed to have prompted the servant to kill.
