Hearing on a petition for a mandamus to order reinstatement by the board of safety of John Sheenan, Michael Keating and James Scully as patrolmen opened today before Judge Sidney S. Miller of Superior Court Three. Last week Judge Miller issued an alternative writ ordering the board to reinstate the ousted I officers or show rause why not. I The three were dismissed Jan. 4 lon orders from the safety board be- | cause of insufficient funds, it was said. Patrick J. McCormick, their attorney, charged others were added to the force later.
