WARN CHILDREN STREETS NOT , A PLAYGROUND Hoosier Motor Club Official Asks Drivers to Use Caution. A 'warning: to children to not play In the streets was Issued today by the Hoosier Motor Club safety department. Reports Indicate the first sign of spring brings out hundreds 'of children to play In the street, said Todd Stoops, secretarymanager, and the pavement becomes a baseball diamond, a skating rink, and the scene of a marble tournament. “Parents and teachers can do much to insure safety by advising children, to play safe. Streets are avenues of traffic over which all classes of automobile drivers must go. Children may become confused and injured while playing in the street and trying to avoid traffic, or the driver may become confused and injure a child when he sees them scatter. “Besides the experienced and careful motorist who uses the highway, there is also the motorist learning to drive, the careless motorist, the drunken driver, the driver with poor vision. BAVARIA WARS ON DISPLAY OF ANKLES, NECKS U. S. Tourists Warned to Dress Modestly—Bobbed Hair Frowned On. BERLIN, Feb. 2(5. Modishly dressed American women tourists probably will meet with harsh crticism in Bavaria this season If their gowns expose more ankle or neck than the puritanical Bavarians care to gaze upon. The Bavarians are not angry exclusively with Americans, but with all women who according to their standards dress immodestly. Abuse is the mildest form of punishment that may be expected by women whose clothes are too revealing. v Campaign On The instigators of Bavaria's puritanical movement are members of the Trachtenverband, a society for the preservation of old folk lore and customs. The society has not exactly defined the styles at which it will take offense, and It Is quite possible that such an old-fashioned question as the propriety of bobbed hair may be revived. The Trachtenverband is conducting a campaign throughout the

DR. W. B. CALDWELL AT THE AGE OF 83
To Dr. W. R Caldwell, of Monticello, 111., a practicing physician for 47 years, it seemed cruel that bo many constltpated Infants and children had to be kept “stirred up” and half sick by taking cathartic pills, tablets, salts, calomel and nasty oils. While he knew that constipation was the cause of nearly all children’s little ills, he constantly advised mothers to give only a harmless laxative which would help to establish natural bowel "regularity." In Dr. Caldwell’s Syrup Pepsin mothers have a regulating laxative which they can depend upon when-
