TALK FUTURE OF ORDINANCE Vetoed Attorney Bill May Bring a Trade. AVhether city councllmen will pass the ordinance calling for a city council attorney over Mayor Duvall's veto or trade with Duvall for allowing It. to remain dead was being discussed today. Council is expected to refuse passage of the ordinance to abolish the offices of fire prevention chief and stenographer, because of the protest of business men who fear advance in fire insurance rates. ASK TO SELL BUS ROUTE Rod Ball Finn Petitions to Dispose of Last Line. Fred I. Jones, receiver for Indiana Red Ball Lines, Inc., today petitioned the public service commission to sell the certificate of convenience and necessity for lines to Greensburg to Charles L. Henry, receiver for the Indianapolis & Cin T cinnati Traction Company, for $l5O. Rolling stock was not included. Consummation of the sale will mean retirement of the firm from the Hoosier transportation field. Other lines were recently sold to traction and private interests. PLAY TO BE AT CHURCH "The Rock,” a play dealing with the life of the Apostle Peter, will bo given at the Sutherland Presbyterian Church tonight. The play was first given some time ago. A European chemist has found a preparation for butter which contains no milk. Waste tallow fats are used, flavored with honey.
