ORCHESTRA ON TIMESPROGRAM Classical and Popular Selections to Be Given. Because of radio fans’ high regard for the Victor Herbert Ensemble, this orchestr.a tonight will attempt to give one of the best orchestral programs ever put on the air. All of their programs on The Times radio entertainments over WFBM, Merchants Heat anu Light Company station, from the studio at the Severin, have been of high order. Their hour-and-a-haif program will include many classical and popular selections requested by radio, patrons. The program tonight will begin about 8:45 o’clock, or as soon, as the Little Theatre completes its program. Mrs. Seleta H. Morris, singer and pianist, will offer several numbers. BREWERY SITE BOUGHT Central Power Company Buys Prop- \ erty for Warehouse and Garage, Property of the old Home Brewing Company at Daly and Cruse Sts. has been purchased by Ralph D. Stephenson of Chicago, Central Indiana I 'ower Company representative, from Samuel E. Rauli, president of Belt Railroad and Stockyards Company, and Newton Todd, investment broker. The property, which extends for a block along the Pennsylvania Railroad, will be reconstructed for use of the power company’s subsidiaries, said John Ferguson, vice president. Consideration was said to bo in excess of SIOO,OOO. The company plans to use the property to house its meter, stores, service and automobile departments, it was said. It is planned to erect a modern garage on the property. HOOSIER IS PROMOTED Former Vincennes Man Vice President of New York Bank. Another, son of Indiana has achieved distinction in New York with the appointment of Howard C. Sheperd as assistant vice president of the National City Bank of New York. Sheperd entered the employ of the National City Bank as a student in its college, training class in 1916. In 1917, -he left to enter war service, where he was a second lieutenant. After the war Sheperd returned to the National City Bank and became an assistant cashier in 1921. Sheperd. born in Vincennes, Ind., graduated from De Pauw University in 1916.
