BOY, KILLER OF THREE, IN COURT Sanity Test Asked for Youthful Slayer. P,n United Frets YELVILLE, Ark., Jan. 29—Attorneys for Arnold Comer, 14-year-okl boy who kiliefl three neighbors “because they bothered him,” have requested the appointment of a special sanity board. The youth was brought into court for trial Thursday. An attempt will be made to have the boy committed to an insane asylum. Young Comer, armed with a ride stood off a posse for several hours after he had been trapped in a mountain cabin following the slaying of three persons near here. When captured, the youth confessed to killing a man, a woman and her baby because they "bothered” him. WOULD BOOST BONDS Ordinance for Police Department Will Be ITesented Council. Increase in bonds of most high police officials, with appropriation for their payment is embodied in an ordinance now being drafted by Donald Roberts, assistant city attorney, for presentation to city council. The police chief’s bond will mount from $3,000 to $5,000. Bond of $5,000 would be provided for the secretary of the chief and $3,000 each for police and traffic inspectors, who now are not bonded. Bonds of the five captains would be raised from SI,OOO to $2,000 and of the ten lieutenants from SI,OOO to $1,500. The bonds of twenty-five sergeants, fifty detectives, three matrons, three turnkeys, one woman sergeant and one city court bailiff would be SI,OOO. MERCHANT BANKRUPT Voluntary Petition Filed in Federal Court by Indianapolis Man. John L. Surge, 709 W. TwentySeventh St., dry goods merchant, has filed a voluntary petition in bankruptcy in Federal Court. His assets were $2,287.56 and his liabilities $3,438.72. Another petition was filed by Dr. Janes H. Moroney of Winchester, who listed liabilities at $40,134.31 and assets at $5lO.

County employers Working in the Courthouse wlil have different water to drink after Saturday, it has been decreed by the county com missioners. A contract to provide adequate water supply wi let to the Catersburg Water Company, which sells mineral water. The water will be furnished at 10 cents a gallon, said Harry Dunn, county auditor. The water now being supplied the Courthouse cost only 6.5 cents a gallon, Dunn sa-d. However many complaints have been made.
