Thornton was elected first vice president at the annual meeting of the Public Health Nursing Association, Thursday, at the ClaypooL Mrs. Ronald Green was elected third vice president and Mrs. Philander Lewis, recording secretary. Held-over officers are Mrs. Henry B. Heywood, president; Mrs. F. R. Kautz, second vice president; Mrs. M. C. Furscott, corresponding secretary; Mrs. E. E. Eshback, assistant treasurer, and Thomas H. Kaylor, treasurer. All directors who served from 1923 to 1926 were re-elected to serve from 1926 to 1929. Reports snowed that 9,310 homes were visited in 1925 and 57,236 visits were made. Out of the 316 crippled children served, 191 were new cases. Os the 7,11* babies bom in 1926, 1,370, or 28 per cent, were cared for by the association. * The association’s slogan for 1926 Is “A Nurse for Every Home That Needs One.” The program for the new year Is mainly concerned with a new lying-in service for expectant mothers. Miss Ethel P. Clarke, director of the school for nursing of Indiana University, talked on “P. H. N.
