SIOO,OOO BLAZE AT WASHINGTON; THEATER BURNS 500 Narrowly Escape Death in Movie House —Only One Hurt. Bu United Prats WASHINGTON. Ind., Jan. 11.— Fire starting in the projection room of the Grand Theater here Sunday night destroyed the movie house and four other buildings with a loss of SIOO,OOO. Five hundred persons attending the movie marched out without disorder while the flames spread quickly through the building. Robert White, operator of the moving picture machine, was the only person InjurejJ. For more than two hours the flames raged unchecked, destroying the theater, and buildings contain--ing the Manhattan case, the Good grocery, the Tuxedo candy store and the Perkins barber shop. Two fire trucks from Vincennes aided in bringing the blaze under control.

GAS COMPANY FORMED Incorporation Papers Filed—Plant Completed at Vincennes. Formation of the Improved Process Gas Company. Indianapolis, was completed today with the filing of incorporation papers with the Secretary of State. Capital stock of the company will be $50,000. Incorporators are John F. Haines, Allen C. Disher. Wilton L. Hubbard, Sig Frank, Carey O. Patton, Edwin S. Janney and R. C. Eisenbach. A new plant has just been completed at Vincennes, Ind., and will be in operation in a few days, Haines said. Harlan poked in a brush pile with the butt of his gun to diclodge a rabbit and the gun was discharged. His arm was torn off just below the elbow.

Some of these histories require only twenty-six words, while others take over a hundred. One sentence from this book has been cut out and' reprinted In the squares above. Hospital attaches say her condition is serious. A. G. CAVINS MAY RUN Considers Race for Congress or for State Supreme CourtAlexander G. Cavins, ass ist&nt United States district attorney, may seek nomination to Congress to succeed Ralph Updike, present Representative, or to the State Supreme Court, to follow Judge Lewis Ewbank, it was learned today. Cavins said many of his friends had urged him to get in one of the races, but that he had not yet decided. Cavins was appointed assistant district attorney four years ago. Last year he served as district attorney. He was State Senator from Vigo County in 1907, and was assistant State attorney general for four years. He is a member of the American and Indiana Bar Associations.

James Banks, 506 Middle Dr., Woodruff Place, a driver for the Kroeger Baking Company, told police he was making a delivery at 35 E.
