SHAFT BEATS MANTODEATH {Tragedy In Elevator at Sharpsvilfe. , ts Special SHARPSVILL®, Ind., Jan. Coroner Shield today was lnveatlgat tng the death of John S. Drake, 42. killed Wednesday when his clothing naught on an overhead shaft at the Sharpsvllle elevator. Drake was , beaten to death between the shaft and the heavy oak celling. His head was tom off and parts of the body were hurled around the room. The tragedy was discovered when J. J. Batchelor, owner, went to investigate why the machinery was shopped. 4 A widow and one daughter survive. PLEDGE BY KIWANIANS Indiana Clubs Will Aid Move to Bring Convention Here. .
