CLEAN-UP OF MARKET BEGUN Stands to Be Tackled First, Then Building. Earl S. Garrett, new city market master under the Duvall administration, today started a general clean-up of stands as the first step in improving the market. A meeting of Indianapolis Market Association directors has been called for Friday by Garrett. Board members are stand holders from all branches of the market. Garrett’s first work was to trder a clean-up of the stands and then start on the building itself. The roof over the annex needs repairing and several downspouts are rotten, according to the markelmaster. A coat of paint for the stands and the ceiling is another step planned. The will have to pay for painting their property, but the city will decorate the ceiling. The crowning point in the new market masters’ plan is to have the basement made into a garage, which will bring revenue to the city. Several comfort stations also are to be established.
