Anew development in aviation Is the increased use of the McCook Field type of parachute. To date twenty-five aviators owe their lives to tweny-flve small packages of folded silk and cord. liast week three aviators tested these parachutes at three different altitudes. The total drop of the three men equalled 5,030 feet. The second man jumped one-half as far as the first. The third man’s Jump, .although the most dahgerous, was the shortest. In spite of that the units in the third man’s drop were exactly the same as those in the first aviator's drop. How far did each aviator fall? the rest, “F, F, H, and P. Other letters were queerly placed "B” was backwards and “T” looked a great deal like the letter "Y.” But with the four capitals and popular children’s books as hints, It should not have been difficult to discover the two names shown on the finished poster.
