EINSTEIN IDEA IS SMASHED BY U. S. SCIENTIST , Speed of Solar System Revealed Ten Times as Fast as Previously Thought. By David Diet* Written for the United Press KANSAS CITY, Mo., Dec. 29.—A blow that may prove fatal to .the Einstein theory of relativity will be struck late today when Dr. Daytoir C. Miller of Cleveland, president of the American Physical Society, reads a paper before the convention of the American Association for the advancement of science, detailing an experiment he has been carrying on atop Mt. Wilson, Cal., for the last six years. In an exclusive interview Miller related the subjects of which he is going to announce, results which, in the opinion of scientists who have been following Miller’s work closely, knock one of the chief foundations ' out from under the Einstein theory. Miller has been working to detect the motion of the earth and solar system through the ether of space. According to Einstein, It was impossible to detect any such motion. L The whole theory of relativity rests mar gel y upon this fact. B Not only has Miller succeeded defecting this motion, which is known as the “ether rash wont healit Attempts to conceal complexion blemishes usually fail, and only serve to draw attention to the delects. Underneath most unattractive skins is a clear, pleasing complexion—all that is needed is the proper treatment! It is surprising how often a brief use of Resinol Ointment and Resinol Soap will clear away blotches, redness and roughness ana give the skin its natural freshness and charm. Resinol

ure speed and direction of our solar system with respect to the universe of stars. Furthermore, since Miller knows the absolute motion of the solar system, it will now be possible to locate shortly the motions of our entire universe in space. Miller finds that the speed of our solar system is ten times as great as it previously was thought. The sun, he finds, is moving through space with a speed of 120 miles a second. Our earth, of course, and all the other planets, are carried along at this same speed. Miller had originally fixed the speed at sixty-five miles per second, but lastminute calculations led him to increase the figure.
