CABBIAGE COVE& [m A four-months-old baby was adopted by the congregation of a Toledo church; The women are taking turns caring for him. One of them lias grown very fond of the child and is making him a carriage robe like the one illustrated. She designed it herself and claims the entire design can be retraced with one single continuous line, without doubling back on any line. Can you do it? Last; puzzle answer: You can readily tell that this rubber concern is a closed corporation, since they sold only 200 shares of common stock, and that to employes only. Two hundred common stock at $25 each equals $5,000; 300 bonds at S4OO each equals $120,000; 1,500 shares of preferred stock at SSO a share equals $75,000. making a total of 200 plus 300 plus 1,500 equals 2,000 bonds and stock for $5,000 plus $120,000 plus $75,000 equals $200,000. CHURCH,PEACE ARE DISCUSSER General Everson Speaks at Big Meeting. “Armies can restrain the world, but it can be saved only by the church of God,” declared Brig. Gen. William G. Everson of Muncie, ranking minister in the United States reserve army, at the Y. M. C. A. Big Meeting Sunday afternoon at English’s Theater. Such projects as disarmament and reorganization of the air service will fade into oblivion when national powers gather to eliminate international misunderstanding, General Everson predicted. “Whatever will be the outcome of diplomatic controversy and world politics, America, if she awakens to her responsibility and uses her influence. will hold the balance of power in establishing friendly understanding,” he said. Many women attended the meeting. Governor Jackson will speak at the next meeting. Jan. 10. During January the meetings will be open to women. SEEK MAN WHO KILLED WOMAN Fatal Shooting Occurs in Ft.
