LAYMEN OF ALL SOULS CHURCH HOLD SERVICE ' ■ A, William J. Greenwood Talks on 'Liberty Versus Law.’ Mr— -i AKING a plea for national and Individual liberty as L__J given to us by our fathers, William J. Greenwood of the Laymen’s League of All Souls Unitarian Church, spoke on "Liberty Versus Law” at All Souls Sunday. Yesterday was known as Laymen League day in the Unitarian Churches and the local league conducted the entire service Sunday morning at All Souls Unitarian Church. "In this latter day,” Mr. Greenwood said, “we find that groups have been formed for the restriction of the rights and immunities of individuals through intimidation of politicians through the balance of the voting powers. "Among them are the Ku-Klux Klan and the fundamentalist groups. Today the Klan group holds the legislative and executive branches of our State government in the hollow of its hand. "One of its former leaders was able to say ‘I am the law in Indiana’ and demonstrate that his statement was true. Some of the legislation enacted at the last session of the Legislature shows that Mr. Stephenson and church politicians worked hand in hand. "The same man would today _be representing the once great State of Indiana in the Senate of the United States were it not that he is temporarily detained in one of our state prisons, convicted by a jury of his peers of the murder of an exemplary and Innocent young woman in an effort to satisfy his beastly lust. "In at least one state of the Union there is on the statute books a law prohibiting the teaching of science in the public schools and colleges, when, in the estimation of any logcabin judges, this teaching conflicts with the teachings of the Bible. This makes of the government of the State of Tennessee a thocracy, the oldest and mbst outworn form of autocracy the world has ever known. $2,713,850 IN ESTATES LEFT Annual Report Made by Court Record Clerk.
