PARTS DEALER WINSVICTORY Judges Overrule Demurrer In Highway Case. A temporary victory was achieved Monday by Otto F. £>chlenskcr, Indianapolis auto parts dealer, alleged to hav6 overcharged the State highway commission $50,000 in business deals, when the five Marlon County Superior Court judges overruled a demurrer to Schlensker’s suit to regain money deposited by him to cover losses to the road body. Schlensker deposited $50,000 with the board, and the money was put in the State treasury. Schlensker contended the money simply Was a bond pending investigation of his transactions. Revelation of Schlensker’s dealings resulted in the State board of accounts investigating the highway commission affair. This terminated in the grand jury indicting John D. Williams, highway commission director; Earl Crawford, a commissioner; George Bartley, former State garage superintendent ,and Moses and Victor Goldberg, junk dealers, for the alleged theft of State war materials. Although the indictments were returned nine months ago, the case has not yet been tried. Prosecutor Remy says he will try the case as soon as possible after Jan. 1.

Hundreds' of people were drowned and thousands were made homeless when the Yellow River in China overflowed its banks. Geese were seen In one village swimming in the water, but all the chickens were gone from the community coops. The excited survivors could not remember how many fowls they had had. One person did recall that the chickens could be counted evenly by 2,3, 4,5, 6, 8 and 9. But if counted by 7 there was always a remainder of 6 chickens. Can you find the smallest number of chickens that they could have had? Last puzzle answer:
