CROWE ACTS TOHALT BOMBINGS Syndicate of Desperadoes Is Uncovered. United Prtsa CHICAGO, Nov. 27. —Alarmed by the proportions of the Chicago bombing syndicate, uncovered by the arrest of a girl In the act of bombing a hardware store. State’s Attorney Crowe in Criminal Court today, demanded special grand jury action. From the confession of the Mrs. Leona Shrook Efice, 23, who deserted her husband and three children In Battle Creek, Mich., and came to Chicago with another man, Crowe learned that for a price, usually ranging from SSOO to SI,OOO any residence or place of business would be bombed by the syndicate. Homes of policemen and criminal trial witnesses furnished the syndicate’s most business according to the girl’s confession. The syndi cate consisted* of more than 100 desperadoes, Crowe said after grilling the girl. TRAGEDY MARS HOLIDAY Auto Injuries Claim Second Victim on Thanksgiving Day.
