DEATH TAKES PASTOR Former Indianapolis Minister Dies in Florida. Word of the death of Dr. Jchn P. Myers, former Indianapolis minister, at Lantana, Fla., was received today by friends. Dr. Myers lived at 3114 N. Capitol Ave., until he moved to Florida, because of his health. The Rev. James A. Long, pastor of North Park Christian Church, said it was not known where funeral services will be held. Dr. Myers, a minister of unusual ability, had held a number of pastorates over Indiana. A widow and four children survive.

WAYNE, Ind., Nov. 23. —Police today are searching for Mrs. Mary Rinehart to question her in regard to the death of her fatl 'r-in-lawr Samuel Rinehart, 46, found dead In a field near here Sunday. Rinehart died from heart disease, hut police believe the attack was brought on from exertion caused in his efforts to frustrate an attempt to kidnap his ten-months old grandson.

KLAN MAY SEEK UNION CONTROL Will Have Slate in Election, Say Rumor. An organized effort to obtain, control of the Central Labor Union is being made by a Ku-Klux Klan faction according to- rumors in labor circles today. Nine organizations left the Union two years ago following a split over the Klan. Electrical workers and plumbers later were re-instated. It is believed the Klan group, said to be headed by Charles W. INSANE INMATES /GAIN Total of 1,376 Commitments During Year, Says State Board. Inmates in Stafle hospitals for the insane Increased it} number during the last fiscal year from 5,831 to 6,024( the State board of charities reports. There were 1,376 new commitments, or 191 more than the preceding year. Native-born insane formed 93 per cent. ■'Seventy colored persons were-in the list. The record shows that 17 per cent of the new patients were under 30 years of age, 60 per cent were from 30 to 60 years and 23 per cent above 60. Marlon County led with 691 patients. There were twenty-two more men than women in the new commitments.
