r Looking Over Palace Show

The musical offering of Ben Light and Company at the Palace today and tomorrow is so tastily arrainged and mounted that it should please the ears of the most critical. As an orchestra, the ensemble consists of piano, two violins and cello. The two violinists each give solo numbers, one of a classical nature and the other jazz, the last done While the girl player is dancing. An added feature of the act Is the dancing by a young man and some solos sung by a woman. Joe Whitehead seems just full of comedy. Almost every word he utters brings out a laugh. His ‘'lmitations,” supposedly impersonations, were a scream. He also Introduces anew form of the Charleston that may become popular, proving anyone else has the courage to try it. Barton and Young by means of an argument with the orchestra leade; seek- to make the audience laugh. They also do some vocal numbers that went quite well. Ramsey’s Canaries open the bill with some featured canaries that have been trained in an excellent manner. The Lomas Company close with a little sketch In which the comedy bid is a trick horse.
