BATTLE CRY OF WATSON HEARD Telis G. 0. P. Rally He’H Fight for Job. B Times Special NORTH VERNON, Ind., Nov. 19. —Talk of Republicans, as they left the Fourth district rally held here Wednesday concerned the fighting declaration of Senator James E. Watson. "If someone runs against me, I’ll be back here from Washington fighting for my rights,” Watson told the gathering attended by most prominent State leaders except Governor Jackson, whose failure to appear caused much comment. This discussion wa aggravated by the fight made by county chairman to unseat Dailey E. McCoy as district chairman, resulting in adoption of a resolution for a reorganization meeting Jan. 16. McCoy, who is State purchasing agent, is considered a personal favorite of Jackson.

INSTITUTE LIKE SARGASSO SEA Thousands of Trunks Stored by Sailors There. During the past eleven years the Seaman’s Church Institute of New York has taken care of almost 534,000 pieces of sailors* baggage, according to a count just made of ’ past records. Visitors to the Institute who have seen the great baggage vault three stories underground, in the building at 25 South St., liken it to the fabled Sargasso Sea, where drifting ships are said to And a haven. Sailors from all parts of the world lodge their baggagge here, frequently leaving it for safe-keeping many months while long voyages take them to distant corners of the globe. Drab trunks with gay Italian posters are found side by side with brilliant Spanish ones, while Dutch chests contrast strangely with coffers from Siam. Square-shouldered English bags, piles of miscellaneous boxes with heavy foreign lettering, bid-time seamen’s chests and solid trunks with great brass locks are other Indexes of the varied types and nationalities of sailors who use the accommodations of the Institute. Each year sees an ebb and flow of about 50,000 pieces of dunnage.

How to Keep it Thick Healthy, Vigorous

The constant curling and waving demanded by modern style In hair dress, slowly burns the color, lustre and very life from the hair, leaving it dry, faded, brittle, streaked with gray; then hair roots shrink and the hair falls out fast. A 35-cent bottle of refreshing, fragrant “Danderine” will do wonders for any girl’s hair. This vitalizing beauty-tonic acts on the hair like fresh showers of rain and sunshine act on vegetation. It goes right to the roots, invigorates, nourishes and Strengthens them, helping the hair to grow thick, healthy and luxuriant. Try this for one week! While combing and dressing your hair, moisten your hair brush with a little “Danderine” and brush it through your hair—the effect is startling! Your hair immediately takes on new life and that healthy, youthful lustre, becomes incomparably soft, wavy and appears twice as thick and abundant.—Advertisement.
