I Women’s Peace-of-Mind r under trying hygienic conditions is assured this NEW way
A DANCE, a sheer gown to be x\. worn; a difficult hygienic situation. You need no longer give this complication a second thought. The hazards of the old-time sanitary pad have been supplanted with a protection both absolute and exquisite. It is called "KOTEX” ... five times as absorbent as ordinary cottpn pads. '•'-Absorbs and deodorizes at the same time. Thus ending ALL fear of offending. You discard it as easily as a piece of tissue. No laundry. No embarrassment. You get it for a few cents at any drug or department store simply by saying “KOTEX.” Women ask for it without hesitancy. Try Kotex. Comes 12 in a package. Proves old ways an unnecessary risk.

Dear Fat Girls 1 This is not a fairy story although it sounds like one but it is a true up-to-date record of a miracle of science. Once upon a time I was fat—very fat at least 60 pounds too much, made me look old and unattractive—No friends for me —no love—no parties—no smart clothes! Day after day only brought on heartaches and disappointments, also I suffered with headaches, pains in my back and limbs, puffing—and a constant dreadful tried feeling—Most of my time 1 spent home rather than appear ridiculous in clothes that never could fit me and feel that people looked at me with pftifui glances —I certainly know what it is to have been a wall flower 1 Well girls, today all that Is changed—thanks to SAN-GRI-NA, the discovery of a French physician, I transformed myself into a different woman now I weigh 130 pounds. 1 am_well —healthy—don’t know what headaches and puffing means •—I look ten years younger and can go Into any shop and buy a smart ready made model and look the part

The Tangle LETTER FROM LESLIE PRESCOTT TO THE LITTLE MARQUISE, CARE THE SECRET DRAWER—CONTINUED After John’s mother had left the room, Little Marquise, I told him I was going to send the children away to some quiet spot while I was gone to Ruths and then my husband made the queerest proposition to me and it was just a3 lovely as it could be. He said, “Leslie, please do not go away and leave me! Do you realize that since you have been back in Pittsburgh I hardly have had you to myself. Why, since long before Syd was born, I have not had a real wife and now I have to share you not only with the children, but with a dozen other people and hundreds of society events. • I just feel as though we were drifting into one of those predigested romances that so many people try to be satisfied with after a few years of marriage. “Leslie, it scares me when I think of long years of such drifting. want something more. I want a taste of that romance that made the first few months of our marriage a heaven on earth. “Leslie, let’s you and I go on a little trip. Be my wife all over again —the kind of wife you were during | our honeymoon when you thought of no one and nothing else but me. Send the boys off somewhere with Hanna. I’m selfish enough not to want • even our sons to spoil our second honeymoon.” Oh, Little Marquise, I’m sure you must know how I thrilled at the careless way which John punctuated this rather long, but loving speech. It was so sweet to know that I was not yet something that Jack paid little attention to because I was always thing, in my comparatively short life. It is very foolish to try to duplicate something that you have enjoyed to a superlative degree. You may be sure that someone will contrive to spoil it. A romance never can be a replica of another. Oh, I’m not saying, my dear, that one may not have one romance after another with the same person, if one tries, but when one wants to duplicate a romance, it is sure to be a flat failure. Be that as it may, I partly promised I would go with John somewhere, far from the maddi.ig crowds as soon as my mother returned home. I told him, however, that I must wait a little while after I had returned from my visit to Ruth. “I’m afraid I’m a little Jealous of Ruth, Leslie,” said Jack. “You see, I’ve always had a feeling that no two women could ever be such friends as two men may be. Sydney Carton and I go to each other, you know, but I do not think I am always as

Looking for Trouble Dear Marhta Lee: I have teen goinK with p, fellow for four years and we love each other so dearly. He asked me to £0 away with him but I have a good usband and home. I don't love my husband. My fellow went away three weeks ago and I realize that I can t live without him and I'm almost heartbroken for him. He don’t work steady and he likes gambling. Please advise me DROWN EYES. Advise you? When you've got your heart set on a good for nothing, and want to break up a home and another man's heart by running away to wreck your own life? If you can’t see the solution of your difficulty, I can’t help you, for you don’t want to be helped. One of the surest ways to teach you the conception of the word love is for you to go away with this gambler who doesn’t work and try it for a while. Have you ever tried being a wife to the man you married? It might give you something useful to do in life.
Lonesome, 100 Dear Miss Lee: Is there any possible way for mo to get in touch with "Lonesome Seventeen? ANOTHER LONESOME SEVENTEEN. No. I haven’t her address, and since all the letters received here are confidential, I couldn’t give it to you if I had it. Unjustly Accused A Worried Girl: Since the boy has no ground for his accusation, just refuse to have anything more to do with him, and counter his gossip by telling the truth when occasion arises. But the less said the better. What does it matter if a few silly, crude, roughnecks say something slurring? You’re above quarreling ’with such low-lifes. That Is a very awful thing to say of any girl, but in this case let actions speak louder than words. Choose your friends a little more carefully hereafter, and refuse your friendship to boys and girls of that character. Perhaps this is just the time to make a confidant of mother. Preface your talk with the fact that you want her to understand you so much, because you have something to talk over with her that is worrying you and you want her advice. And remember that people judge us by our actions, and the friends we keep.

Sick Stomach Teaches Her a Lesson Mrs. Alfred Fie, Brooklyn, writes:—“l had become accustomed to arising each day with a ©heavy head, dizzy, and bad taste in my mouth. My bowels were frequently clogged. One day I became so sick to my stomach I had to leave an important job and go home. A friend advised Carter’s Little Liver Pills. I feel like a made over person since using them. I have learned a good lesson, and whenever my stomach goes bad again I’ll certainly know what to do.” Carter’s Little Liver Pills relieve the constipated condition by cleansing the intestines of their waste matter. Their action is gentle and free from pain. All druggists, 25c Advertisement.
