WABASH BRIDGE TO BE CLOSED UNTIL NOV. 5 Ferry Will Take Care of • Traffic at Vincennes, Says Bulletin. The Wabash River bridge at Vincennes, which takes care of IndianaIllinois traffic from State Rds. 5, 10 and 12, will bo closed for repairs until Nov. 5, the State highway commission announced in its weekly bulletin today. A ferry, operating north of the structure, will take care of the traffic. Contrary to iirst expectations of the commission, work lias been rushed to such an extent on the temporary bridge on State ltd. 32, two miles north of Gosport, that it may be in place by Saturday. When the bridge is opened, traffic from Indianapolis to Spencer and Bloomington may go over its old rout£ without detouring. ' Conditions on State roads out of Indianapolis were set forth in the bulletin as follows: No. 1 (Now Albany, Indianapolis. South Bend. Michigan line)—Detour marked just north of Peru account dredge ditch. Detour frotn two miles north of Edinburg to franklin account paving. New pavement open from Crothersville to Austin. There detour east one and one-half miles on county road to old State road, thence south to Seottsburg. No. 3. (Richmond. Ind’auapolis. Terre Haute) —Bridge run-around at six rni'es l west of Richmond, and at one-eighth mile least of Pershing. " No. fi (Madison. Greens'burg, Indianapolis, Lafayette. Oxford) —Detour at two miles north of'Lebanon to Thorntown ltd., thence north through Thfc-ntown to No. (i. Side detour one and one-half miles northwest of Thorntown: short detour one mile further northwest, and detour at eleven miles south of Lafayette through Stockwell. No. l‘J (Vincennes. Spencer. Ind’anapoliSG—Drive carefully at approaches to temporary bridge two mies north of Gosport. No. 15 (Indianapolis. Logansoort. Michigan City)—Closed for six miles south of Logansport for construction: good detour marked. Short detour at Boyleston around bridge construction. No. 33 (English. Paoli. Bedford. Bloomington, Martinsville. Indianapolis)—Closed at a point five miles south of Indianapolis for constructing overhead bridge over Illinois Central R, R. Detour mark'd to Three-Notch Rd.. over one mile of gravel road. - entering Indianapolis via S. Meridian St. Closed between Martinsville ana Bloomington, and from English to Paoli for paving. Through traffic between Martinsville and Bloomington go via Spencer over Rds. 13 and 33. THERE IS A DETOUR FOR LOCAL TRAFFIC BUT IT IS POOR. Closed at new bridge two miles south of Bedford. Detour east In Bedford on No. 4. thence southeast on a bituminous macadam road via Riverdale to No. 33 at Mitchell. From Paoli is a county road to Grantsburg via Marengo and English. Avoid south of Grantsburg account construction: no detour roads. No. 37 (Indianapolis. Anderson. Mun- i tie) —Pavement from Indianapolis to Muneie except mile gap between McCordsvtle and Fortville. where detour is marked. Detour around bridge at Ingalls. Use old No. 11 ta junction of 11 and 37 from two and ont-half miles south of Pendleton to where old Rd. 11- intersects new road, which is approximately two miles northeast of Pendleton. Drive this route carefully as workmen are building shoulders. No. 39 (Indianapolis. Rushville. Brookville. Ohio line) —Closed between Julietta and Hawthorne (Marion County) for paving. East-bound traffic detour over county road meeting National Rd. near Cumberland, then.ie on National Rd. to Indianapolis. Run-around at bridge construction three miles south of Cedar Grove. CLUB TO GIVE DANCE .Butler Organization Seeks to Join Journalistic Fraternity. All Butler will be guests of the Butler Fourth Estate Club, an honorary journalistic fraternity, Saturday at a Halloween Grip Hop, following the Rose Roly-Butler football game. Carr’s Hall, 5436 E. Washington St., is the scene of the dance. The Fourth Estate Club has petitioned Sigma Delta Chi, national journalistic fraternity, and will be voted on at the national convention of Sigma Delta Chi in Denver, Nov. 17. The purpose of the dance is to raise funds to send a delegate to the convention.

From Lebanon proceed west over State ltd. 33 through CrawfordsvUle to- the IndianIllinois State line: Stale Rd. 10 from the Slate line to Danvil.e. From Danville follow State ltd. 1 through Watseka to Chicago. The distance is 333 miles. The road is paved irom Indianapolis to Lebanon; graveled from Lebanon to the Wabash River and paved on to Chicago. Evansville v Hanover. Evansvile .Ind.
