The newly organized Butler band is in a serious predicament. Recently the Men’s Club of the university •purchased new uniforms for the members of the band, including a gorgeous regalia for the drum major. Sherman Jones was selected sor 1 the position of leader and his uniform was made to order. Succumbing to the lure of Florida, Jones urned in his uniform, left school and went to the land of the Everglades, leaving the band majorless, with a small sized uniform on its hand. No one has been found who can nil the shoes, or rather, the uniform a' the absent drum major. Tryouts e being held, but so far the efforts have been in vain. After years of absence, Rho chap,.r of Sigma Chi fraternity has returned to the Inter-Fraternity Council. The petition for reinstatement was made shortly after the beginning of school, and each fraternity on the campus passed on the petition. Expulsion of the fraternity came
