THANKSGIVING TURKEYS HIGH Housewife to Dig Deep, Prices Indicate. The housewife will have to dig peeper in the family purse for the winual Thanksgiving outlay of food * present indications of price trend are true. Not more than ten turkeys have been sold on the city market this season, according to reports of the standholders. Turkeys sold at! 65 cents a pound today. This makes a total of $6.50 for an ordinary sized fowl, and they are difficult to obtain at that. Dowtnown groceries say they have had very tew calls for Thanksgiving supplies so far this year. The “fixins” will increase in price as the day draws near and the budget probably will be strained to the limit.
