FEDERALJURY TAKES RECESS Evidence Being Gathered in Booze Investigation. With the speecial Federal grand Jury in recess today-miscellaneous bits of evidence were wing’ gathered together, for presentation to the jury, in the investigation of the alleged booze ring in St. Louis and Indiana. George Remus millionaire bootleg king of Cincinnati, probably will go before the jury again Friday. The recess, it is thought, will lead to bringing the special session to a close either late Friday or Saturday morning. Then, if an indictment is found, it will be returned in open court to Judge Robert C. Baltzell. There is some belief that Remus is turning government evidence. The Federal grand jury Wednesday made a preliminary report returning nine true bills, indicting fifteen persons. Those indicted will be arraigned before Judge Baltzell, this morning. \ THE SASH RETURNS The aash is of increasing importance, and is frequently the point at which the trimming and color of a frock is concentrated.
