Memorial Recital to Be Given Mrs. Frances Johnson The sixth memorial recital under the auspices of the Friendship Class of the Irvington Methodist Church, will be given Wednesday evening by Mrs. Frances Johnson, soprano, a member of the faculty of the Indianapolis College of Music and Fine Arts. THEATER IS PLANNED Motion Picture House to Open in Lilly Hardware Bldg. A motion picture theater will be opened on the former Lilly Hardware Bldg, site, 114-18 E. Washington St., Jan. 1, it was announced today. Edward G. Sourbier, president of the Sourbier Amusement and Realty Company, expects to lease the property in the next few days. H. A. Kiene, who will manage the •show house said it will be called the Bijou theater, after the old one which stood on the Meyer-Kiser Bank Bldg. site. The theater will seat about 600 persons. NEW SCHOOL PLANNED University Will Teach Purely Fundamental Conception of Bible. Ihi United Press ST. LOUIS, Oct. 26.—Campaigning to raise $5,000,000 for the erection of a university by the Presbyterian church will be started within a month, the Rev. H. W. Claggett, member of the board of the proposed school, announced today. One building of the structure will be dedicated to the memory of William Jennings Bryan. The Rev. Claggett said the new school would be one of the only universities in the world that will teach a purely fundamental conception of the Bible.
