AUTO BANDITS ARE HEARTLESS Rob Motorists and Then ' Throw Away Keys. Heartless bandits robbed two motorists Wednesday night and then threw away their auto keys. When they robbed Hay Langford 423 N. Tacoma Ave., his cuff links sls in money and his watch at Sbadeland Ave., near Tenth St., Lansford drove home by inserting a knife blade in the switch. Miss Nettie Russell, 816 Highland Ave., was with him. The same bandits threw away the keys of Lowell Welch, who was robbed of $5 and his watch at Kessler Blvd. and Michigan Rd. Passing motorists brought Welch and Miss Olive Wells, 2619 N. Illinois St., who was with hiin, to town. Dr. J. D. Moschelle, 901 Odd Fellow Bldg., said his instrument case valued at SIOO was taken from his auto parked near the Methodist Hospital. Edward Leld, 32 W. Forty-Sixth St., reports his dog valued at $450 stolen. LINE EMPLOYES MEET Increased Interest in Community Fund Campaign Reported. Transportation line employes representing eleven railroads and electric lines attended a dinner at the Severin Wednesday night and reported an increased interest in the Community Fund campaign, which begins Nov. 6. Frank C. Jordan, presiding, expressed gratification over the Interest displayed by the 125 representatives of the transportation lines who attended. Albert Stump, Homer W. Borst and Will Wertz spoke. Music was furnished by the band of the Big Four shops at Beech Grove and several solos were sung by Raymond E. Ball of the Pennsylvania Railroad, accompanied by Miss June McKee, pianist. SONS ELECT OFFICERS Judge Miller and Charles Remy Head Revolutionary Societies. Judge Sidney S. Miller of Superior Court, Room Three, was elected president of the Indiana Society, Sons of the American Revolution, at the Indianapolis Athletic Club, Wednesday afternoon. Charles F. Remy was chosen president of the Sons of the Revolution. At a dinner at the Indianapolis Athletic Club, Wednesday night, both organizations celebrated the 144th anniversary of the surrender of Lord Cornwallis. Speakers were Senator James E. Watson, Ex-Congressman Merrill Moores, Henry Lane Wilson, ex-am-bassador to Mexico. POISONS SELF; FLEES World War Veteran Despondent Over lII' Health. Police continued a search today for Thomas Dickerson, 30, a World War Veteran, who fled from his home at 2717 W. Tenth St., when the city ambulance pulled up to the house to take him to the hospital. Miss Mildred Dickerson, his sister, said that he has been despondent for some time over ill health. Wednesday night he took poison. The ambulance driver and doctor gave chase, but he eluded them.
