Dare, near Wabash, are In full bloom. The same trees blossomed out last spring but failed to bear fruit. Mrs. Bessie Smith of Lebanon has filed suit for divorce against Charles A. Smith, alleging he abandoned her twenty-six years ago. She said she did not know of his whereabouts until he returned to attend the funeral of his father a short time ag^. An epidemic of distemper Is causing the death of many dogs owned by Columbia City residents. Veterinarians have been unable to ascertain the cause.

The State budget committee investigating salaries of employes in the Statehouse and State institutions will reconvene the latter part of this week, it was reported today.
