JOUR MILES OF ! new PAVEMENT IN STATE OPEN Traffic Now Using Most of Indianapolis - Anderson Highway. Four miles of new pavement has been opened to traffic on State Rd. 10, south of Carlisle, and traffic is now using nearly all new pavement between Indianapolis and Anderson vio Nos. 37 and 11, it was announced In the State highway commission’s traffic bulletin Issued today. Attention was called that new pavement has been completed the entire distance between Indianapolis and Anderson on Nos. 37 and 11, excepting a mile gap between McCordsville and Fortville. Due to this uncompleted section, and construction of a bridge at Ingalls, traffic is detouring. The contractors axe working on the shoulders at various points along the route so traffic is advised to drive slowly. Surface conditions of roads entering Indianapolis are set forth in the bulletin as follows:

Short detour one mile farther northwest and a detour marked at eleven miles south of Lafayette, through Stockwell. Jfc>. 15. (Indianapolis, Logansport, Michigan City)--.Closed for six miles south of Logansport, account construction; good detour marked. Closed ii north edge of Indianapolis account city sewer construction. No. 7" (English, Paoit. Bedford. Bloomington, Martinsville, Indianapolis)—Closed at a poin' about 5 mile ssouth of Indianapolis account of constructing overhead bridge acrosc Illinois Central trucks. Inbound traffic detour to east over marked detour to Three-Notch Rd.. one mile of gravel road, thence into Indianapolis over paved road entering city via S. Meridian tjt. Out-bound traffic go out S. Meridian St. over same rou e. Closed between Martinsville and Bloomington and from English to Paoli for paving. (Through traffic between Martinsville and Bloomington go via Spencer over Rds. 12 and 32. There is a detour for local traffic but i* i° poor.) Closed at new bridge 2 miles s". tl of Bedford. Detour east in Bedford on No. 4, thence southeast on a bituminous macadam road via Riverside to No. 22 at Mitchell. From Paoli is a county rock road to Grantsburg via Maren and English. Avoid south of Grantsburg account construction and no detour road. No. 37 (Indianapolis. Anderson to Munciei—Pavement from Indianapolis to Anderson completed excepting mile stretch between McCordsville and Fortville where detour is marked. Detour also marked around bridge construction in Ingalls. As workmen are building shoulders along new pavement, traffic advised to drive slow. No. 39 (Indianapolis. Rushville. Brookrille Ohio line)—Closed between Julietta and Hawthorne (Marion County) for paving. East bound traffic follow marked detour to south of 39. West bound traffic detour ove reounty road meeting National Rr. near Cumberland, thence on National Rd. to Indianapolis. Run-around at bridge construction 3 miles south of Cedar Groce.

BIG MOTORCADE DOE TONIGHT Mayor Shank to Head Reception Committee. Mayor Shank has been named to ieart the reception committee which will greet the Dixie Highway motorcade when it arrives in Indianapolis this evening on the first leg of the journey to Miami.
