U. $. JUDGE TO ASK BUILDING Vlnre Room Needed for € South Bend Court. United Press SOUTH BEND, Ind., Oct. 9.—Local business men, headed by Federal Judge Thomas Vv T . Slick, are backing a movement to obtain anew Federal building. The fact that the postoffice is crowded and that the press of buslhess In the Federal Court hero will make larger quarters necessary In the near future Is the motive for the movement. Judge Slick said that the Government seldom rents quarters for Its office when It is cheaper to build. This he said undoubtedly would play a le-gc part In obtaining anew Federal building. Judge Slick urged the citizens of South Bend to cooperate in urging the Treasury Department to order anew building here. NEW STATION ORDERED Hartford City to Realize Hopes for Bigger Depot. Bn United Press HARTFORD CITY, Ind., Oct. 9. —The hopes of Hartford City residents that anew railroad station would be built here were realized •lay when W. C. Niece, local agent, ’.eived notice that the Pennsylvania Railroad Company would precede at once with the construction of a station. The new structure will be located on S. High St., it was said.
