Intestinal Evaeuant There if? now offered to the public a liquid preparation which is not only a wonderfully effective and QUICK intestinal evaeuant, but which also seems to stimulate the glands of the Intestinal tract and to cause expulsion of flatus (GAS). This preparation, known as Adlerika. is a valuable agent for the purpose of cleansing the bowels of mat - ter which has been in the system a long time and which other less effective means have been unable to dislodge. It is Oiten astonishing the great amount of matter Adlerika draws from the intestinal canal—even right after a natural movement It sometimes brings out unsuspected ephantities of additional matter. settlement to a metropolis with 450 miles of improved streets. On Street Assessments In connection with street improvements, Duval!, said he opposed assessing destructively for street improvements the poor property owner, who is paying for his home. Duvall said the machinery of law enforcement must be readjusted and the police must know how to catch criminals. He recounted his own record as t'easurer of Marion County and his twenty years in business here. “I believe the same principles that apply in business can be utilized in managing the affairs of the city of Indianapoljs,” Duvall declared. Singing of “Limber-Lunged Lew” by the quartet of the Indianapolis Drum Corps, which provided music during the. program, aroused one of the high points of enthusiasm of the meeting. Some Political “Harmony” “Let’s have goodby Lew and Bill Armitage too,” a member of the audience shouted and the political vocal harmony was on. Alvah J. Rucker, attorney, who presided, predicted a majority of 35,000 for Duvall. The Cl. O. p candidates for council and the office of city clerk spoke briefly. John T. COMPROMISE ON TAX CONSIDERED Officials Seek Counsel on Pension Levy Status. With officials of the State tax board seeking counsel of Attorney General Arthur L. Gilliom on the true status of the Indianapolis police and firemen’s pension fund levies, trustees of the funds today were understood to be considering a compromise with the city administration on 1-cent levies for 1926. The tax board also asked Gilliom for an opinion as to legality of the city sanitary levy, increased from 5.5 cents to 6.5 cents by the city council, over Mayor Shank’s veto. The board Tuesday heard an appeal against the increased sanitary levy and a three-sided argument on the pension fund levies, now V2 -cent each. The tax board took the two matters under advisement, also postponing action on an appeal from the $1.25 levy for Perry Township. Marion County.
