POLITICS MAY MARK MEETING Councilmen Due to Discuss Proposed Building Code. Old Man Politics is expected to strut a bit on the stage at city council meeting tonight when a Democratic member sets forth additional alleged shcrtcomings of the Shank administration. The proposed building code, which Francis F. Hamilton, building commissioner charges is being used as a political football by councilmen, is slated for discussion. It is believed it will be adopted if a certain councilman agrees to vote for another ordij nance. Mayor Shank has agreed to sign the ordinance to annex Beech Grove via Churchman Ave., but the measure faces the opposition of President Ben H. Thompson. Its sponsors are Councilmen John E. King and Otto Ray. There will be no vital report from the committee appointed to investigate the board of works for the reason that the committee, appointed weeks ago, has unearthed nothing.

EVILS OF FAKE STAMMER AID SEEN BY BOGLIE Discoveres of Famous Treatment Scores ‘Quack’ Cures. “Widespread prevalence of stammering and stutttering among ch.tdren and adult.s has led many persons of education and learning to adopt a definite program for the correction of the trouble and there is little doubt that. In the course df a few years the correction of stammering will become as compulsory as the cure of contagious diseases,” declared Benjamin N. Bogue, head of the Bogue Institute for Stammerers, who has been studying stammering, Its development and its correction for nearly twenty-five years. Ignorance of this subject is appalling, which is due to the paucity of efficient literature. Teachers and parents have been compelled to depend upon "the misleading advice of friends who suggest lnnuerr.raable panaceas, the majority of which but serve to aggravate the condition. It is impossible to approximate the economic cost of stammering. It impairs the mental growth of the sufferer, causing self-repression. The defect interferes with the expression of ideas as well as the utilization of potential enegry in the business or social world.
