DAIRY MACHINES WILL BE SHOWN Many Exhibitors to Be at National Exposition. A group of approximately 2,000 men, representing seventeeen States, the District of Columbia, Canada and Germany, will be connected with the $1,000,000 machinery and supply exhibits to be set up by 250 exhibitors at the National Dairy Exposition at the State fairground, Oct. 10-17. Sixty thousand square feet of space in the Manufacturers’ Bldg., and another 40,000 square feet of space in the cattle barn will be devoted to the exhibits. From the machine that turns out thousands of paper caps each hour to top milk bottles to the huge automatic machine weighing twenty tons, that washes, sterilizes and dries milk bottles at the rate of approximately 150 a minute, the exhibits will include all the equipment that is required in handling, bottling and pasteurizing milk and in the manufacture of buttetr, cheese, ice cream, condensed and powdered milk. WARRANTS ARE ISSUED Arrests to Follow Indictments by Federal Grand Jury. Capiases for the arrest of twentytwo persons were being issued by the Federal clerk today. These persons were among the thirty-two indicted Monday by the Federal grand jury in its final report covering a week’s investigation. Eight live in the Indianapolis division. Those indicted who are at liberty under bond or in jail are Clarence Ivirchner and William H. Sheldon, scheme to defraud; Joo Whlttley, Julius Gagen, Clyde Wilhelm, Mike Derloshon, John Love, Lewis Koors and Lewis Kruise, all of Ft. Wayne, violation of the prohibition law; Samuel Mkabile, James Capodanna, Vincent Choils and James Downey, in Marion County jail, charged with counterfeiting, and Virgil Short, in jail at South Bend, charged with theft from interstate shipment. PARSONAGE PURCHASED St. John’s Evangelical Church Buys New Home for Pastor. St. John’s Evangelical Church has purchased anew personage at 902 Sanders St., the Rev. Ernest Plepenbrock, pastor, announced. Cost was SIO,OOO. The present parsonage, adjoining the church, will be converted into Sunday school rooms. Erection of a SIOO,OOO church Js planned soon.

Club Will Resume Activities

Social and aihletic activities of the Hoosier Athletic Club will be resumed Saturday night, Austin J. Edwards, entertainment chairman, announced today. For several moflths workmen have been engaged in enlarging and remodeling the club building. A house north of the club has been converted into dining and card rooms. The entire first floor of the club has been made into a lounge. Electrical fixtures have been added and the interior decorated. Members will inspect the home at a formal dinner Saturday at 6:30 p. m. A dance will be held followting a tour of inspection. Edwards announced open-house will be held nect week. Swimmers and gymnasts will give special demonstrations. Each night a dis ferer.t orchestra will be presented for dancing from 9 to 12 p. m. The club, whlcl. was organized In 1879. dedicated it: present home at Meridian and Piatt Sts., in 1914. Membership is 1,500. Officers are- Harold J. Hampton, president; Walter B. Smith, vice president; Austin J. Edwards, second vice president; John W. Twitty, corresponding secretary. Glen J. Riser, recording secretary; Otto J. Feucht, treasurer. FIRE AT HOTEL Traffic was demoralized early this morning at Illinois and Washington Sts. when all downtown fire apparatus was called out to extinguish a fire in the grease chute at the Lincoln. No damage was done.
LUTHERANS TO HAVE MEETINS Indiana Synod Will Convene at Brookville. Pastors and one delegate from each Evangelical Lutheran Church In Indianapolis will attend the meeting ofthe Indiana Synod, Oct. 28-30 at Brookville, the Rev. J. B. Gardner, missionary superintendent, announced today. The Rev. Frank Ulrich, pastor at Bethany and Christ Church, and Knox Roberts, pastor of Ebenezer Church, will be ordained. The Synodical Brotherhood will meet Oct. 27 at Batesville. Retta Fink, New Augusta, secretary of the Women’s Missionary Society of the Indiana Synod, announced the annual meeting will be Oct. 20-22 at Columbus, Ind. Mrs. F. M. Roes, Indianapolis, Is an executive committee member. BIBLE CLASS OPENING Sessions Will Be Held Each Wednesday at \\ M. C. A. The Rev. Elvin Daniels, pastor of Linwood Christian Church, will open a series of Bible classes Wednesday night on “Christian Living Day by Day.” Classes will be held each Wednesday following a bean and fellowship dinner at the Y. M. C. A. The Rev. A. 8. Buchanan, will reach classes In “Job and his message” and the Rev. E. M. Kerlin, the International Sunday School Lessons. GYMNASTIC CLASSES OPEN Normal College of American Gymnastlc Union opened the fall term Monday with an enrollment of 150 students. Sixty are new students. Courses in physical education to prepare students for work in schools and colleges are offered.
