FIVE MURDER CASES LISTED ON CALENDAR Prosecutor Remy to Plunge Into Heavy Schedule. With the termination of the trial of John J. McNamara, structural Ironworkers’ Union secretary, who was found guilty of blackmail by a jury, HVosecutor William H. Remy will plunge into a heavy jury calendar which includes five murder and two manslaughter trials, besides several others. This list does not contain the case of D. C. Stephenson, Earl Gentry and Earl Klinck, all held in Hamilton County jail on charge of murdering Aliss Madge Oberholtzer, nor John Thomas Shaw, held at Martinsville on charge of muredering Mrs. Helen Hager Whelchel Clarence W. Clegg, bailiff, has issued a list of fifty veniremen to report Monday morning in Criminal Court for jury service when Edward Boulden, colored, will go to trial on a first-degree murder charge. Boulden is alleged to have fatally shot Gilbert Hooks, colored, 1313 Lafayette St., on April 8, during a quarrel. He is also charged with assault and battery with intent to kill, after wounding Henry White, colored. Louis Owens, barber, charged with fatally stabbing a fellow worker at L. S. Ayres & Cos. barber shop where both were employed, with a pair of scissors, will face his third trial Nov. 16. Juries of the other two trials failed to agree. Other persons charged with murder, and trial dates are: Coburn Huntington, Oct. 8: Charles Scott, Oct. 15 and Otis Johnson, Oct. 19. John R. Ferguson will be tried Oct. 26 on a manslaughter charge and McKinley Alford, Oct. 29 on a similar charge. BIRTHDAY FOR CHURCH Second Moravian Episcopal Congregation Plans Observance. Anniversary services will be held at the Second Moravian Episcopal Church, Thirty-Fourth and Hovey Sts., Sunday, according to the Rev. Vernon W. Couillard, pastor, the occasion being the fifth anniversary of the organization. The program includes the Sunday School Rally Day program; the anniversary Communion Service: the anniversary Love Feast, at which the Rev. Ernest N. Evans, executive secretary of the Indianapolis Church Federation will speak, and the anniversary address in the evening by the Rev. C. O. Weber of Winston-SalemT N. C., formerly pastor of the First Moravian Episcopal Church of this city.

BELL PETITION PROTEST Charlestown Officials Make Complaint to Commission, Town officials of Charlestown, Ind., have filed a protest against the recent application fer an increase in Indiana Bell Telephone Company rates with the public service commission. GARAGE MEN RELEASED City Unable to Prove They Actually Painted Sign on Street. S. E. Test, manager of the Circle Motor Inn, and M. S. Shafer, assistant manager, w’ere freed in city court today. They were arrested when it was alleged they painted huge advertising signs on the pavement near the garage. The two were discharged when the city could not prove they actually painted the signs. Wholesale deportation of Chinese appeared a possibility here as a sequel to a hatchet murder, attributed to tong war! are, in Cleveland’s Chinatown last night. A bloodstained hatchet and a meat cleaver was found near the hacked body of Yee Chock In a room reeking with opium fumes. His head was nearly severed.
