COUNTY BANKS ARE ALL SET Anti-Bandit Plans Are Now Completed. M&.rlon County banks are well fortified against bandits, according to George Snider, chairman of the protective committee. Organization 1 undsr the State-wide protective plan, has been completed in all of the forty-nine banks. Cashiers and clerks who have been givdn deputy sheriff powers have purchased arms and are engaging in target practice at the Indianapolis Gus Club and the East Side Gun Clu*. Rural banks are practicing in the country. By Walter D. Hickman mHINGS run to music at the Falace this week-end. The chief musical leader is Percy Oakes and Pamela De Lour and their La Chapino marimba orchestra. Here is a smart and satisfactory act both from a musical standpoint as well as dancing. Marimba music has that soothing quality which, combined with lighting effects, obtains satisfactory results. This act please- with ease. Reed and Ray become musical near the. close of their act, “The Bull Fighter.” Up to the time that the man introduces his harmonica the act was Just so so. But when the music started the act stopped the show. Jules Black and company have, a burlesque edition of fun in a schoolroom. Noisy laughs are handed out in the regulation hokum manner. Full of slap-stick comedy, only fairly well presented. An accordian player saves the act. Pantomine and acrobatics make up the offering of Clair and Atwood. Jarrow is a magician who does lot of talking and few tricks. The
