TWO MORE DAYS AND BIG STATE FAIR WILL OPEN - - dumber of Exhibitors Largest in History of Event. Two more days of preparation remain before the opening of the 1925 Indiana State fair, with everything ready for the big event, according to Lin Wilson, president of the State board of agriculture. The number of exhibitors this year totals 1,061, the largest in the history of the fair. Cattle herds are here from as far away as Massachusetts and Missouri, with hogs from many parts of the Middle West and fine horses from all over the United States. Benches Loaned Preparations for handhng the large crowds, 250,000 are expected during the five fair days, have been supervised by E. J. Barker, secretarytreasurer of the board of agriculture. Indianapolis has loaned 500 pa-k benches that are being distributed over the grounds. A small park has been set aside for out-of-town fair visitors, just south of the coliseum. Wallace Buchanan, Indianapolis superintendent of mails, has arranged for a temporary postal station in the lobby of the adminis’ ration Bldg. Parcel post packages dll be accepted here, and stamps will be on sale from 8 a. m. till noon fd from '1 to 5 p. m. Band to Play The Purdue University eightypiece band, brought here for the fair, will give a free concert on the east steps of the soldiers’ and sailors’ monument at 3 p. m. Sunday. Girls of the home economics school, which began this week and wsl continue until the close of the fair, were ready for their first big tlipner tonight, when they will entertain members of the State board of agriculture and their wives. The glhls, under the direction of Mrs. L. G. Vannice, will prepare the dinner and attend to the serving.
