METHODISTS OF DISTRICT HAVE MEETING HERE Denominational Leaders on Program at Roberts Park Church. For the first time In a quarter century Methodists of the Indianapolis district held an all-day conference today at Roberts Park M. IS. Church. Denominational leaders were on the program. Practically every church was represented. Dr! Harry A. King, district superintendent,! said about 100 local ministers were examined for license. "Whatever life’s problems are, the solution lies in the finding of a personal God,” declared the Rev. Edwin W. Dunlavy, pastor of Roberts I'.tik, in the conference sermon. Tragedies Discussed Speaking on “The Greatest Tragedy of Life,” he compared the tragedy of Job with the tragedies of literature. "The plan of Job’s tragedy differs from Shakespeare’s tragedies in that Shakespeare closes his tragedies with the harvest of death, while in Job the tragedy is in the prologue. It’s greatness lies in the greatness of its solution.” Dr. Orien W. Fifer, pastor of Central Ave. M. E. Church, and Dr. George S. Henninger, pastor East Tenth St. M. E. Church, spoke. Bishop to lYeside Frederick D. Leete, of the Indianapolis area, will preside tonight and the Rev. C. P. Gibbs, of Franklin, will speak. District superintendents conferred with Bishop Leete at State headquarters in Hume-Mansur Bldg., Thursday on plans for the annual conference Sept. 9-i4 at Jeffersonville. % GARAGE MANAGER DEAD Services Saturday Morning For Fred R. Pains Disappeared **CEVERAL years ago I was badly run down,” says Mrs. John Bunch, Route 3, Columbia, S. C. “I was in bed for several weeks and had to hire a girl to come and take care of my house, “I could not do any of my work. I was so weak 1 could not wash a dish. My back and sides hurt me at times dreadfully. I dragged around until I finally got down in bed.” Then, Mrs. Bunch says, she happened to read of Cardui and of cases similar to her own, that had been relieved by the use of this well known medicine for women. She decided to give Cardui a trial and tells of the results that followed that trial. “Cardui seemed to reach the cause of my trouble at once,” she- says. “J. did not take it long, before my appetite began to improve. I gained in weight from 114 pounds till I now weigh 125 pounds. I soon was able to be up around the house. I took up my household duties and was delighted with my returning strength. “I now do all my own work. The pains in my sides and back have disappeared and I feel like a different person.” Many housekeepers and other women who have a great deal of work to do often find themselves in a weak, rundown condition. This condition sometimes becomes so serious, as in the case of Mrs. Bunch, that life becomes a burden. Many thousands of women who have suffered have found that Cardui brought them relief. Ask your own friends who have tried Cardui about the benefits they have derived from the use thin woman’s medicine. Then try Cardui yourself. At all druggists’.
